Making the Beninese sport competitive, attractive and rewarding for its players is the vision of President Patrice Talon’s government.
In the sports sector, the major achievements are the construction of 22 omnisports stadiums to international standards, the installation of synthetic turf at the Charles de Gaulle Stadium in Porto-Novo and on 9 other stadiums and the implementation of a policy of massive financial support from the State to sports federations and associations.
Launched on July 2, 2018, the construction and rehabilitation of the 22 omnisports stadiums in several Communes of Benin is as of today in its final phase.
