The project is the result of a financing agreement between the Government of Benin and the World Bank. The implementation of this project will develop skills to meet labor market demands in priority economic sectors. It will also promote a favorable business environment, as well as improve the accessibility and quality of support services for entrepreneurs.

The project includes the construction/rehabilitation and equipping of 10 modern agricultural technical high schools and their Educational Economic Units; the construction and equipping of 7 reference craft schools; the establishment of an information and tracking system for trained individuals; and the development of 150 high-quality short training programs.

The entrepreneurial ecosystem will also be structured and strengthened, with 2,200 businesses benefiting from capacity-building programs ; 700 businesses receiving financial support ; 200 new businesses being supported by the project; and at least 20 entrepreneurship support structures benefiting from capacity-building programs.
