In partnership with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (FKDEA), Benin has launched a project to improve access to drinking water.
In Bassila, a commune where access to drinking water remains a major challenge, the project aims to provide a sustainable solution for local residents. The infrastructure will reduce the risk of water-borne diseases and improve local sanitary conditions.
In Allada, which is undergoing rapid population growth and development, the project will secure the supply to meet the needs of its residents, reducing the time and effort spent searching for drinking water.
By facilitating access to water in these communes, the Beninese government is taking an important step towards equity in access to basic social services.
