The aim of these projects is to reduce the impact of flooding. They focus on the towns of Cotonou, Porto-Novo, Abomey-Calavi, Bohicon, Abomey, Ouidah, Sèmè-Kpodji, Parakou and Natitingou, and will ultimately help to reduce the prevalence of water-borne diseases caused by flooding. They will also facilitate the movement of goods and people and lead to significant growth in local economic activities.
